Today one year ago Diablo 3's servers came online and gave us the error 37 and other various issues. All the memories, bugs, and more. All the disappointments and challenges the game had to overcome. All the toxicity of the community that the game built. Despite all the game short comings; it has come so far from when it started. The paragon system, the long delayed PVP set-up. The shoddy legendaries that they fixed.
All the balancing issues that the acts had. Inferno was the biggest headache I ever first experienced. The unforgiving difficulty curve that forced you to use the GAH and RMAH's. I never once used the RMAH and I never will. I hated that I had to use the GAH but it helped out in a pinch after being rushed through.
After a time I even took a break from wallpapers and the game because I was just burnt out. I played World of Warcraft again and when new patches came around I played them again here and there. The more recent patches have made me really enjoy the game again. Especially 1.0.8 and all of it's changes. This is the game we should have gotten a year ago.
Also during that year I made a very long wallpaper series using the cinematics in the game; that series was called The Acts I - starting with

Below are a few pieces that I would consider my personal favorite pieces I've made during the last year.

This piece below was a request from a fan of the runes; ~Ballum

This has been one hell of a year, Here's to the next one, and in the next two months I will have been doing wallpapers for 5 years. Where oh where did the time go!
See you all next time and happy D3 Anniversary.
